Physician Assistants
Physician Assistants (PAs) are health care professionals who are licensed by the state or credentialed by a federal employer to practice medicine as delegated by and with the supervision of a physician. PAs provide a broad range of medical and surgical services. Our experienced professionals can assist your Health and Safety team with the management of on-the-job injuries, while fully understanding OSHA related Aggressive First Aid concepts.
Our Physician Assistants:
- Maintain 24/7/365 consult with the ER for MEDEVAC, and collaborative MDs
- Are Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Are Certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support
- Stabilize and treat patients
- Diagnose and treat illness and/or injury
- Develop and carry out treatment plans
- Suture lacerations
- Offer OTC and prescription medications
- Prepare patients for Air Medical Transport
- Effectively use Alaska MEDEVAC systems
- Have Solid Delayed Transport Experience
- Provide patient education and preventative health care counseling
Our Physician Assistants are:
- Graduates of a Bachelors or Masters Degree Programs
- Licensed by the State of Alaska
- Licensed by the Drug Enforcement Agency
- Fully credentialed
- Capable of a diverse Scope of Care
- Skilled with Occupational Medicine
- Accomplished with Emergency Medicine
- Experienced with Pre-Hospital Care Team approach
- Well practiced with Family Medicine
- Knowledgeable in diverified and speciality fields
